What we're building Efides Lens turns a commodity trader's scattered documents into an explainable, bank-ready risk file. A trader submits once. Lens extracts the contracts, counterparties and collateral, scores the deal across the nine risk areas a credit committee uses, and shows the cause behind every score. Then it sends one evidence-backed file to the banks and funds the trader chooses. For whom Mid-sized banks, commodity funds and family offices that finance food and energy trade, and the SME traders they turn away today. Assessing a small deal can cost a bank more than the deal earns, so good trades die in an 8–12 week due-diligence queue. Why now Three things changed at once. Banks face stricter model-risk and AI rules, so they need explanations, not black-box scores. CBAM and EUDR have made carbon and sourcing part of every credit decision. And document-reading AI has become a commodity, which leaves the reasoning and evidence layer above it as the open opportunity. Switzerland, where a large share of global commodity trade is financed, is the natural place to build it. The trader platform is live, our first customers are paying, and OST is independently testing our risk model under Innosuisse.
